Meet local KC doulas and learn about the benefits of doula support. This Doula Date night will be an In-Person Event! The event will be hosted at our Overland Park location, in the community room. Masks are required. Doula date night will be hosted by Natasha Sears APRN CNM. Doula Date Night is your opportunity to meet and speak with area doulas, ask questions and discover how a doula can be an integral part of your birth team. New Birth Company welcomes doulas working with the family that choses to birth in our facility. Our staff recognizes the valuable role doulas play in aiding women in childbirth. We know that this doula + midwifery team approach promotes and fosters a great environment for natural birth. Furthermore, research reports this birth approach reduces cesarean birth, increases a family's knowledge of birth, and aides in facilitating an empowering birth experience. We believe natural childbirth is an awe-inspiring physical, emotional and spiritual experience that captures all senses of our bodily spectrum. Using sight, sound, smell, taste and touch, we enhance the birth experience. You will see soothing colors that make you smile. You will hear soothing music commissioned specifically for women and childbirth. You will smell natural scents such as lavender and comfrey. You'll have a blueberry flax smoothie from the kitchen to keep up your energy. A wise woman's hands guides your body to choose its best position for birth. Our facility also provides clinic rooms for pregnancy visits and well woman care, as well as space for classes and community gatherings. We have two birth centers, located in Kansas City, Kansas and Overland Park, Kansas.
