What is humanities research, and how can it save the world? Find out at this event.
The humanities are central to solving real-world problems and creating socially just, ethical and sustainable futures.
At this event, students can pop in at any time to see current examples of humanities research projects that have significant societal impact.
Projects featured at the event will include the faculty-led COVID-19 digital archive as well as student-led projects on Epidemic Emergences and more.
Students will also learn about different types of humanities-based research, such as fieldwork, ethnographic research and other potential career opportunities.
This event is in partnership with the ASU Humanities Lab, which provides students with the opportunity to engage in hands-on research on compelling social challenges, as well as the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies, which leads the COVID-19 digital archiving project.
It will follow current COVID-19 event guidelines and will take place in Ross-Blakley Hall 196 and the outdoor space adjacent to RBHL 196 in order to allow for physical distancing. The closest parking options are the visitor parking in Lot 44 and the Rural Road parking structure.
