Self defense and empowerment workshop in community partnership with the Paint Phoenix Purple Campaign to combat domestic violence. KBX is proud to be a part of the Paint Phoenix Purple campaign. Learn realistic self defense techniques, along with strategies for developing crucial life skills. The workshop will be lead by Master Jade Hwang, the first woman inducted into the Korean Martial Arts Hall of Fame and the chairperson of the USA Taekwon-Do Coaching Committee. This event is FREE and it is our goal to make the knowledge and resources accessible to our community. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and will help support the Sojourner Center, a community organization that aids victims and survivors of domestic abuse. The center even provides shelter and assistance for family pets so we will be collecting donations like dog food and cat litter to make sure the fur babies are taken care of too. Please stay after the workshop for refreshements, raffles and to learn about other community resources and events.
