Lancaster Public Library is pleased to offer free computer classes to the public.
Microsoft Word is a word processing program that makes it easy to create professional-looking documents. This class covers beginning-level skills, and is ideal for the newer computer user who wants to become well versed in Word. Classes are given by experienced library volunteers.This class, using Microsoft Word from the Office 2016 suite, offers instruction in the following areas: What is Word? * Keyboard * Screen Layout * Review of Typing * Copy & Paste * Cut and Paste * Numbered List * Borders * Editing * Numbering * Highlighting * Format Text * Save Your Work * Text Alignment * Spell Check * Printing * Opening a File * Bullets * Editing Bulleted Lists * Inserting and Formatting Clip Art and Pictures

Where: Computer Training Room on the second floor of the library. Registration is required and please do so only if you can attend all of the sessions listed for the class. Failure to do so will result in your exclusion from registration for a six-month period. Please make every effort to show up on time.
Prerequisites: Intro to Computers or equivalent experience. Must have a Lancaster County library card in good standing. Must be 18 or older.
Class size is capped at ten students, and priority will be given to newcomers. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel the registration of a student if s/he has taken the class multiple times.

Metered parking is available on Duke Street and behind the library. The Duke Street Garage is also across the street from the library.
