WALTHAM, MA — A 35-year-old Waltham man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Soldiers Field Road in Boston Sunday afternoon, according to Massachusetts State Police. In a news release, state police said troopers from the Boston Barracks responded to reports of a crash involving a motorcycle at approximately 2:43 p.m. Police say a preliminary investigation indicates that Sarhad Karageuzian was driving a 2002 Suzuki GSXR motorcycle westbound on Soldiers Field Road when he struck the guardrail on the left side and was ejected from the bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor, said police. No other vehicles were involved. The westbound side of Soldiers Field Road was closed for approximately two and a half hours Sunday due to the crash, but has since reopened. The incident remains under investigation.
