Subscribe Here -> The City of West Palm Beach will observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15, 2021 to October 15, 2021. This observance celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of Latinos/Hispanics. This demographic makes up approximately 25.1% of our City's population and 25% of the U.S. population (according to Census.gov). During the City Commission meeting scheduled for September 20, 2021, West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James will acknowledge National Hispanic Heritage Month by issuing a proclamation from the City of West Palm Beach. The city, along with its partners, and the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach (411 Clematis Street), will host various FREE community events throughout the month and Mayor James will acknowledge the month with a proclamation at the next meeting of the City Commission. Mayor James Announces "West Palm 1,000" Jobs Initiative  COVID-19 Update Final Public Hearing to Adopt the FY' 22 Budget & Millage Rate on 9/23! The final public hearing to adoption the FY' 22 Budget & Millage Rate will be held on September 23, 2021, 5:01 p.m. in the Commission Chambers located at 401 Clematis Street. August Homeless Assistance Update In August, the city and its partners helped: ICYMI: GreenMarket to Return on 10/2 Mandel Public Library's FREE September Events and Activities The Office of Economic Opportunity, in partnership with Brittani M Design, will present a series of three workshops on branding and how small businesses can brand better to make an impact! The final free workshop will be hosted virtually on September 21 of 2021, at 3 p.m. EST. Small-, minority-, and women-owned businesses can learn how to showcase their brand more clearly, make better branding decisions, and stand out from the competition. WPB Drive Electric on 10/2 On October 2, from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m., the Office of Sustainability will host a National Drive Electric event in conjunction with the GreenMarket. Free Tree Giveaway The Office of Sustainability will host a free tree giveaway for West Palm Beach residents only. Application is required. The application period close on 9/29. Limit of 4 trees per property per year. Special pick-up for those approved will be at the WPB GreenMarket on October 2nd from 9am-1pm. Questions?
