Day of the Dead Celebration
Join us for Dia de los Muertos or a Day of the Dead Celebration on Saturday, October 30 from 10 am to noon! Come remember and celebrate your loved ones at the museum through this life-affirming celebration which has been celebrated for centuries recognizing the eternal cycle of life. Learn about the significance of Dia de los Muertos through a speaker, art activities, docent-guided tours of "Luces y Sombras: Mexican Photography from the Bank of American Collection," dance performances and music. Guests will enjoy a heartfelt ofrenda (altar), and pan de muerto (traditional Day of the Dead bread). The festivities will include performances by Mexico Lindo-Folkloric Ballet of Orlando, Mariachi Nuevo Guadalojara, and Raveli. Presented in partnership with Casa de Mexico and Casa de Artes y Cultura CABETCAL. Ticketed event.
