Description
You’re invited to a free screening of the documentary everyone is talking about: The Game Changers, hosted by Yoga Therapy of LV Executive produced by James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jackie Chan; The Game Changers follows James Wilks — elite Special Forces trainer and winner of The Ultimate Fighter — whose world is turned upside down when he discovers a group of world-renowned athletes and scientists who prove that most of what he had been taught about protein was a lie. Directed by Oscar®-winner Louie Psihoyos, The Game Changers features some of the strongest, fastest and toughest athletes on the planet — and it’s backed by them too — with additional EPs including Lewis Hamilton, Novak Djokovic, and Chris Paul. Wilks’ journey exposes outdated myths about food that not only affect human performance, but the health of the entire global population. See the movie trailer I am a Certified Lifestyle Physician, as a Diplomate of the Amercian Board of Lifestyle Medicine (DipABLM/DipIBLM), and an AOA Board Certified Neuromusculoskeletal physician. Over the last 20 years I have worked in the field of healthcare using yoga. The current focus of my practice is to help patients better their health through formal yogic exercise and lifestyle change. I hold an M.S. in Exercise Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. While working as an exercise physiologist in cardiac rehab, I began teaching yoga in the late 1990’s. My classes catered to patients with breast cancer at Fox Chase’s Complete Care and cardiopulmonary rehab at Mercy Haverford. I later started a yoga program at the Cleveland Clinic Florida to serve to both patients and employees alike. I was one of the earliest persons certified as an RYT-200 through the Yoga Alliance and am now YA certified as an YACEP, ERYT-200 / RYT-500 as well as C-IAYT (through the I-AYT). I am continually studying and learning in my own yogic practice. My intention to fuse yoga and health officially lead me to be accepted into an osteopathic training program at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in 2003 to study hands-on adjustments. I have been an osteopathic physician since 2007. I did a rotating Internship at Abington Memorial Hospital in suburban Philadelphia geared towards Internal Medicine, followed by a specialty residency in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at PCOM. I am proud to be able to offer my clients a range of care. Currently I see patients in the Lehigh Valley within a Lifestyle Medicine Practice and offer Osteopathic Manipulation (OMT) as well as nutrition & yoga advice to help people with pain heal.
