Job description Bay Area Waste Services Inc dba Trash Scouts is a fast growing Waste and Recycling Management company for apartment/residential/commercial communities. Our goal is to help our customers more effectively handle their waste and recycling programs. We are looking for two Part –Time (PT) Waste and Recycling Porters, who will be responsible for daily management over key routes throughout the East Bay - Oakland. Primary tasks will be to collect, transport waste and recycling bins in the trash room or designated area throughout the property and transport them to the curb for pick up for apartment buildings and commercial properties. Here are just some of the things you could look forward to as a Part-Time (PT) Trash Scout: - Our Waste and Recycling Porters say it’s a great way to stay fit and not clumped up in an office or warehouse – this is an independent job with little supervision. - Our flexible work schedule give you a great way to earn extra money after or before your regular day job. We offer multiple shifts depending on experience. Evening schedules are Sunday–Thursday and begin after 6PM or morning schedules, which are Monday–Friday starting at 4am. - As the face of our company, you get to engage with wonderful residents and property owners/management. - Ability to move into Full Time based on performance Job Summary: - Safely handle the waste and recycling bins throughout the property, to prepare and transport them for secure curbside collection. - Monitor and manage trash, recycling, and compost flow for customer reporting - Inspect and clean common area trash rooms/enclosures as needed - Must work well with others and represent a company professionally - Comply with company code of conduct and quality standards for service, timeliness, safety, privacy, and reporting. - Other duties may be assigned Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States - Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance and ability to operate a motor vehicle - Most of our openings require your own transportation - The capability to lift 50 lbs. will be required. - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. - Ability to climb stairs and walk distances. - Spanish Bi-lingual is a plus but not required - All candidates will be given a pre-employment drug screen.
