Press release from SPD Blotter: September 20, 2021 3:46 pm Police seized a handgun and arrested a 34-year-old man in South Lake Union on Sunday after he pulled a wrench, and then a gun, on another man. Around 4:40 PM, a 46-year-old man was driving near Westlake Avenue North and Roy Street when the suspect pulled alongside him in his own vehicle.  The suspect, who has reportedly had a long-running feud with the victim, threw a cup of coffee, and then a water bottle, at the victim's car. The victim kept driving and stopped his car a short distance away to pick up some food. The suspect followed him, got out of his own vehicle and brandished a wrench, which he threw at the victim, striking him in the leg. When the victim retrieved a tire iron out of his own car, the suspect shouted for the man to put down his tire iron and fight hand-to-hand. The suspect then reached into his waistband and pulled out a handgun. The suspect then left the scene and the victim called 911. Officers spotted the suspect pulling into a parking garage nearby and arrested him. Officers booked the 34-year-old man into the King County Jail for assault and intimidation with a weapon.
