Semi Crash Snarls Traffic On Interstate 5 Near Southcenter

TUKWILA, WA — A semi-truck headed southbound on Interstate 5 crashed and spilled its load Tuesday afternoon, creating some major delays for drivers in the Southcenter area. According to Washington State Patrol, the crash scene blocked the two left lanes of I-5, right at Interstate 405, just before 3:30 p.m. WSP shared a photo of the scene showing a big load of gravel spilled across the freeway, and troopers said drivers should expect major delays while cleanup efforts continued. The truck's driver suffered only minor injuries. Semi collision blocking 2 left lanes on SB I5 right at I405. Minor injury to the driver. Multiple lanes have gravel debris from semi when it rolled over.
