BEVERLY, MA — There will be preliminary elections for mayor and city council in Wards 3 in Beverly on Tuesday, Sept. 21.
The preliminary will determine which candidates move on to the general election in November. Races with more than two candidates require preliminary elections. Mayor is the only position on the ballot Tuesday other than in Ward 3.

Ward 1, Precincts 1 & 2: Ayers-Ryal Side Elementary School, 40 Woodland Avenue
Ward 2, Precincts 1 & 2: Beverly Public Library, Winter Street Entrance
Ward 3, Precincts 1 & 2: McKeown School, 70 Balch Street
Ward 4, Precincts 1 & 2: Cove Elementary School, 20 Eisenhower Avenue
Ward 5, Precincts 1 & 2: North Beverly Elementary School, 48 Putnam Street
Ward 6, Precincts 1 & 2: Centerville Elementary School, 17 Hull Street

Those who have requested and received an absentee or early-voting ballot must return it by the close of polls Tuesday night for it to be counted.
There was no early voting for this election.

The City Clerk's Office will be open on Monday and Tuesday for those with any questions about poll locations at 978-605-2324.
