COMMACK, NY — Suffolk police on Monday arrested a West Babylon man who police said used stolen credit card numbers at a Commack strip club over a three-day span last year.
Jajuan Kirkland, 28, used several credit card numbers saved in his phone to fund cash advances, as well as buy drinks and other services from Blush, at 53 Veterans Memorial Highway, between Nov. 18 and Nov. 20, 2020, police said. Employees later ran the credit card numbers, which were declined and flagged for being stolen, and representatives from Blush contacted police, police said.
Kirkland was arrested at First District Court in Central Islip where he had a court appearance for an unrelated matter, police said.
Kirkland was charged with five counts of first-degree identity theft, seven counts of second-degree identity theft, and one count each of third-degree grand larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument.
He was held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Financial Crimes Unit detectives at 631-852-6120.
