GOP Maltese's Mayoral Campaign Has New Manager

EAST HAVEN, CT —Following a shake-up last week, the Sal Maltese campaign has a new manager. The Republican running to unseat incumbent East Haven Mayor Joseph A. Carfora announced that David C. Gersz, current town Zoning Board of Appeals and schools building committee member and GOP candidate for the Town Council's first district seat is the latest campaign chief. In an email to Patch, the Republican Town committee shared a letter to its membership last week. "Stacy Gravino graciously offered to run Sal's campaign but our Chair, Holly Bryk, thought it best that Stacy focus on her own campaign for Town Clerk," the letter read in part. A "meet the candidates" fundraiser was held last Thursday and on Sept. 27, the RTC and state Sen. Paul Cicarella and Rep.
