Alternate Polling Locations In Long Valley For Some This November

LONG VALLEY, NJ — As some Washington Township voters had to divert from their usual polling locations during June's primary, some may have changes in where they will vote this coming Election Day, Nov. 2. According to a news release from Washington Township, there were four polling locations that couldn't be used in the primary election. This time, those who usually vote at West Morris Central High School can do so again. Another polling location in Washington Township cannot be used in November. The township indicates that Washington Township voters with changed polling locations, should receive a postcard in the coming week with their location for the Nov. 2 General Election. Districts that are changed for the November election include: Districts 4, 5, 6, 9, 10 and 12. Morris County Board of Elections gave the green light for some alternate Long Valley polling locations. For residents who would prefer to vote by mail, there are 30 drop boxes in Morris County, with one box in Washington Township outside of the police station, on 1 East Springtown Road. Ballots can be dropped into the secure box 24/7 and up to 8 p.m. on Election Day. For all drop box locations countywide, click here. There will be voting information at the Washington Township Public Library on 37 East Springtown Road on Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m.: Sept. 22, Sept. 29 and Oct. 6.
