HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken police have shared video stills to help find three men they'd like to talk to in connection with a stabbing in the wee hours of Sunday morning, they said. Courtesy Hoboken Police DepartmentPolice said that on Sunday shortly before 2:30 a.m., Police Officer Daniel Barron and Police Officer Anthony Olivera responded to the area of First and Hudson streets on a report of a stabbing. When they arrived, the victim was lying on the sidewalk and a bystander was applying pressure to the injury, police say. The victim sustained a puncture wound to the left abdomen area, police say. Officer Anthony Olivera provided first aid until the ambulance arrived. The victim had been walking with three friends when an argument started between the victim and a male who appeared to be with two other men, police say. The argument escalated into a physical altercation between the two men, ending with the victim being stabbed with what appeared to be a folding knife, police say. The area is four blocks from the Hoboken train station in a section of town with many of the bars. The victim was taken to Jersey City Medical Center where he is in stable condition. The Hoboken Police Department is requesting help from the public with identifying three "persons of interest" they said, and provided three stills. If anyone has information on the incident, they may contact the lead Detective Michael Losurdo at 201-420-2108 or email him at [email protected]. All callers may remain anonymous.
