Education Attended Brown University, have a B.A. degree in Economics from UNH and a M.A.ED from the University of New Hampshire, have Master's +30 certification in Concord schools Occupation Presently retired, but I have been employed by a federal intelligence agency, a large insurance company in Boston and the Concord School District (over 26 years) Previous or Current Elected or Appointed Office Elected 5 times to the Concord School Board, elected to the NH House of Representatives, elected to the University System of NH, elected to the previous charter commission, appointed to director of the local planetarium, appointed to NH Public TV, and appointed to the UNH Fund, appointed to the Beaver Meadow Golf Committee for 15 years Campaign website I don't have one. Why are you seeking elective office? As a previous member of the charter commission, I believe I can be an informed member again. I have a good idea about the needs of the Concord School District. The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it. The role of the charter commission is not activism, but review and evaluation of the charter. What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post? The major difference between me and two other candidates is my experience with the Concord School District and previous membership on the charter commission. If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency) I am not a challenger. How do you think local officials performed in responding to the coronavirus? What if anything would you have done differently? Evaluating the performance of local officials is not part of the charter commission's job. Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform. My platform is my experience that fits the job that I seek. What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job? My longevity with the Board of Trustees In the University System of NH and my longevity with the Concord School Board explain my fitness for this task. The best advice ever shared with me was: Be patient and let the process work thoroughly to get the best result. What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions? I speak out on matters, but only after I have done my own research.
