WHEELING, IL — Here's the scoop: The Original Rainbow Cone ice cream trucks are continuing to travel throughout Chicagoland and will be visiting Wheeling this week, according to a news release from Rainbow Cone. The ice cream trucks will be visiting Wheeling, Elmwood Park, Flossmoor and Chicago starting Wednesday, as the trucks have "quickly become a staple of the summer season." Each of the five ice cream trucks are named after one of the flavors that make up the famous Rainbow Cone: chocolate, strawberry, Palmer House vanilla, pistachio and orange sherbet. According to the release, "Palmer House" will be driving around the Uptown 500 Apartment Complex, located at 500 W Dundee Road, on the following dates and times: Wednesday - Thursday, 5-9 p.m.Friday - 4-9:30 p.m.Saturday - Sunday, 1-9 p.m. The trucks will be serving Rainbow Cone ice cream and treats. The Original Rainbow Cone trucks are also available for private catering and events including graduation parties, weddings, corporate meetings and more, the release states. Rainbow Cone continues to expand their reach in Chicago and nationwide with store locations in Beverly, Navy Pier, Lombard and Darien, while offering nationwide shipping on Goldbelly.
