Curtis Sliwa Sets Off From UWS To Find 'Where Eric Adams Lives'

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Curtis Sliwa, the Republican candidate for mayor and an Upper West Side resident, held a press conference in the neighborhood on Tuesday before setting off to "find out where Eric Adams really lives." Adams, the Democratic candidate for mayor and heavy favorite, had his official residency questioned with two weeks left in the primary election in June by opponents and publications. One of the main allegations was that he lived in a home he bought with his partner in Fort Lee, New Jersey. It is a claim that Adams strongly denied, and pushed back upon by offering a tour of his Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, home to the press core. Adams owns the four-unit Brooklyn townhouse where he says he rents out three apartments and has lived on the ground floor for the past four years. Speaking Tuesday morning from outside his Upper West Side home on West 87th Street, Sliwa strongly questioned Adams's residence. "While most people know where Curtis Sliwa lives, no one really knows where Eric Adams resides," Sliwa said. "How can we trust a man to be the mayor who won't even tell us where he lives?" Adams has repeatedly said he lives in the Bedford-Stuyvesant townhouse. On Sunday, THE CITY published an article that pointed out irregularities in Adams's management of the Brooklyn property. Sliwa's team mentioned the article in an email sent out about his press conference Tuesday. Sliwa, who was carrying a milk jug with Adam's face on it, set off from the Upper West Side location to the A train. As of Monday evening, it is unclear where Sliwa is on that journey.
