Express Bus Linking Detroit To Ann Arbor Resumes On Oct. 18

DETROIT — The Regional Transit Authority and the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority said Tuesday their Detroit to Ann Arbor express bus service will return on Oct. 18, according to a news release. The bus service or D2A2, which is operated by Michigan Flyer, was suspended in March 2020 - after just launching the same month - because of the COVID-19 pandemic. "Now that our workforce is returning to in-person and entertainment venues are welcoming fans back, we are extremely excited to announce the restart of the service," RTA Interim General Manager Ben Stupka said. "Our board, staff, and transit partners worked hard to make this return possible." Live in Detroit? With the service resumed, buses will provide hourly trips between Detroit's Grand Circus Park and Ann Arbor's Blake Transit Center for a little over 16 hours a day. Buses will run from Monday to Friday, 5:45 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. However, they will only run with limited service on Saturday and Sunday. One-way fares are $8 base fare or $6 with the advanced booking discount available at D2A2.com.
