Press release from Washtenaw County Government: September 20, 2021 WASHTENAW COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS PUBLIC NOTICE – SEEKING CITIZEN VOLUNTEERS FOR THE PUBLIC NOTICE – SEEKING CITIZEN VOLUNTEERS FOR THE WASHTENAW COUNTY COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH (CMH) BOARD WASHTENAW COUNTY COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH (CMH) BOARD The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners is looking for citizens to volunteer for positions on the Washtenaw County Community Mental Health (CMH) Board. The Board of Commissioners will make these appointments at its upcoming session on October 20, 2021 at 6:45 p.m. Individuals interested in applying should apply online at https://ewashtenaw.formstack.com/forms/board_application. If you are unable to submit the application online, you may email a letter of interest and resume, including a home address, to Robert Mulcihy ([email protected]) or by mail to the Washtenaw County Clerk's office, Attention: Appointments, P.O. Box 8645, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48107. Letters and resumes may also be submitted via email to or via fax (734) 222-6528. Those resumes received by October 13, 2021 will be submitted to the Board of Commissioners for its consideration on October 20, 2021. The appointment will become effective October 20, 2021. These appointments include: Ø Washtenaw County Community Mental Health Board – The Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill 1 position for the following sector: one Community Member (applicants with affiliation to Michigan Medicine are encouraged), for a partial term, expiring March 31, 2022. Ø Washtenaw County Community Mental Health Board – The Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill 1 position for the following sector: one Community Member (applicants with affiliation to Michigan Medicine are encouraged), for a partial term, expiring March 31, 2022. Note: of the 12 member CMH Board, 1/3 needs to be consumers (at least 2 primary consumers & 2 secondary consumers) The Board will support the work of the Washtenaw County Community Mental Health (CMH) Agency and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance advice to the Agency's Director and the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners. While day-to-day operations are led by the Washtenaw County CMH Agency's Director, the Board and Director work collaboratively, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected.
