Needing volunteers to work with cats

We have been trying to start an official cat rescue for quite some time. We were getting close when Covid struck! I was hospitalized for weeks, during which time my help was mostly out sick, too, so things really fell behind in virtually every area! This is like my last ditch effort to pull it all back together before I have to give up on this (crazy) dream of mine. There is definitely a need for another cat only rescue, as every year all the established rescues fill up during kitten season, and that's when people call and/or show up here, desperately seeking help before they have to abandon their kitties on the side of the road, or opt for euthanasia because no one has room to take them. So, one by one they came, freezing, starving, sick, or injured, until there are just too many for me to care for alone. So I'm reaching out to the community for help for these little guys. They didn't ask to be here, but here they are, and they are needing help--and homes! So if you are an animal lover, or a cat lover, and would like to do something to help, I could use help with just about everything to do with cats! I need help with getting them in to spay/neuter appointments, and sometimes vet appointments. I could use help at feeding times, help with medications, treating for fleas and worming. And of course, I can ALWAYS use help with litter boxes! Also, with socializing kittens and cats, simply by gently playing with them. You can pretty much pick what you'd like to do, especially right now, when help is needed with virtually EVERYTHING.
