The Park Danforth's Maintenance Department has an opening for a full-time (30 - 40 hours/week) Custodian to join our team! Weekly hours and schedule are dependent on candidate qualifications and availability. We are looking for a candidate that is reliable and responsible with excellent attention to detail. The right candidate will be able to work well independently and will be required to work in a safe and professional manner at all times. Successful candidates will have two years’ experience in building custodial maintenance or a related field. This role will also assist the department with general building and property maintenance and completion of generated work orders, requiring the ability to use computer applications to access and update work order requests. A valid Maine driver’s license with clean driving record is also required. Additional Essential Functions of The Position Include: - General cleaning functions (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, etc.) of the open space, restrooms and public areas within the facility. Currently, there is a lot of sanitizing responsibilities in the building to help prevent COVID-19 - Assisting the maintenance staff with: grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming, weeding and raking lawn as needed; removal of brush, sweeping lots and sidewalks; snow blowing, shoveling or plowing snow; sanding and salting walks and driveways as conditions dictate; and assisting with landscaping maintenance - Assisting with activity set-ups; collecting recyclables in trash rooms and other designated areas for disposal - Performing minor repairs to the building and property, repairing or replacing disposable items as needed.
