Looking for Drummer and Bassist

Grove City OH

Description

Hello: Looking to start a band. Right now we are working on an acoustic set - just guitar and vocals, but wanting to get a whole band together. Covers at first and maybe work in some originals as the band starts to gel. We are both in our 30s with jobs, families, and other commitments, so not looking to make it big or become the next big thing. Musically, we don't want to be the standard "classic rock" cover band, which for 80s / 90s kids is 60s and 70s era of rock. We don't mind adding some of those songs to the set but not the focus. Maybe some classic rock, some hair metal, 90s grunge/alternative, pop-punk, some emo, maybe take some 80s pop sounds and rock them out a bit and even some current songs to keep it fresh - all with the goal of being able to do different genres depending on the gig and just having a good time. Though again, as the band starts to gel we can figure out if there is a strong pull toward a certain era. Generally, try to practice once a week - so it is imperative everyone practices during the week on their own and the weekly band practice is to tighten everything up as a band and add our own twist. Personality match and just having fun are the first thing, followed by not wasting anyone else time by not doing your part during the week. From time to time, things come up and it's understandable you can practice during the week, but not habituall (not meaning to sound authoritarian but I've been in numerous bands in the past where this type of stuff is an issue). No problem with having a drink or two during practice, but no drugs and no drama - just fun. Feel free to reach out for more information or if you have any questions.
