Focus Event Technology is a locally owned small audio-visual business that has been operating since 2013. Please read this entire job offer before applying. www.focuseventtech.com *Qualified applicants should* - have an interest in lighting/gaming/sound/hospitality/live events - be able to handle physical work - be able to lift/move/carry up to 75lbs at a time - be able to meet at the warehouse in Tempe and then ride/drive to venues across the Valley - clean driving record - be comfortable driving a box truck (u-haul style truck) - work split shifts during our busy season & more basic hours during off-season We specialize in temporary lighting for event spaces, corporate receptions, weddings, etc... We also provide decorative lighting, small sound systems and offer a Virtual Reality arcade as a service. I am currently looking for one or two individuals who are looking for a job in the hospitality industry with an interest in lighting/AV/gaming. MOST of the work revolves around bistro string/portofino lighting setups. This is fairly labor intensive, involves being on your feet, walking, and lifting up to 75 lbs at a time. Our setups involve heavy steel baseplates & pole installs as well as climbing ladders. Although the bulk of our business is seasonal (heavy work from Jan - May & Sept - Nov) I am looking to offer a consistent 20-30hrs a week or more if the right person applies. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Schedules during event season mostly look like this Same day Start Setup- 10am (can vary +/- 2 hrs) End Setup- 1pm (can vary +/- 2 hrs) Start Breakdown-10pm (can vary +/- 1 hr) End Breakdown- 1am (can vary +/- 1 hr) __________ Off season schedules can vary, and would involve cleaning our warehouse and doing quality control (cleaning equipment, organizing, etc...)
