Production Worker The WestRock Portland Corrugated Container Plant has immediate openings for entry-level Production Workers in our Portland, OR facility. The Portland plant operates 24 hours/day, 5-7 days/week as needed to meet production. WestRock's new employees immediately embark on a path to career growth into a machine assistant or machine operator position (other opportunities also available in Shipping and Maintenance). Therefore, WestRock is seeking candidates with the potential and versatility to work in a variety of positions throughout the Plant. • Starting Wage: $22.26 per hour • Full Time, Monday thru Friday; mandatory overtime, as needed. • Benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and more. • Union membership is required. What you need to succeed • Must meet physical requirements: Able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise maneuver 50 pounds on a routine basis. Able to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, climb steps, and twist throughout a shift. • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. • Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to high heat and humidity indoors, during the summer months. • Flexible to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts – rotating schedules, mandatory daily overtime, weekend work. • Ability to read a tape measure and apply basic math and computer skills. • Pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical.
