Sound Roof Services is a commercial roofing company servicing the Puget Sound area since 2007. We are looking to add a roofer to our team. We work primarily on commercial flat roofs, with work ranging from annual cleaning and maintenance, small and large repairs, and complete re-roofs. We are growing and need additional roofers to join our team! We offer full benefits after a 60-day waiting period and have opportunities for growth and advancement. Roofers work on buildings to build, maintain and repair roofs. They use a variety of tools and materials on the job depending on the worksite. Roofers must be able to work with different types of materials properly in order to protect the roof from weather and other damage. Roofers also inspect and repair damage on a regular basis. Roofers are expected to use good guidance and common safety sense when on a job. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform maintenance on roofs. • Perform leak repairs and check in with office for additional work. • Install and apply various roof systems. • Fill out timesheet accurately. • Take pictures of roof work. • Notify the office when an owner needs to be advised of a roof issue. • Follow all safety and policy procedures and follow accident protocol when necessary and attend weekly safety meetings. • Inform the office and owner when a job is not completed, or you need to return for additional work. • Fill up propane tanks. • Fill out required job paperwork. • Lock out tag out broken equipment. • Inspect vehicle before and after use. • Stock, clean, and advise when the vehicle needs maintenance or when stock is low and fill up vehicle gas tank. • Abide by the roofer on call list for weekend emergencies or maintenance. • Check in and out on the job with customers. • Other duties may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE • High school or college student; or up to one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Prior roofing experience is preferred, but not required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT • Ability to safely ascent/descend a ladder frequently. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. • Work in outdoor weather conditions.
