I took in a ferret from a neglectful situation like a week ago. He’s doing very well and besides the fact that he’s a bit underweight is perfectly healthy. When I first got him I was planning on keeping him, but had planned to rehome him if I started having any problems with him and my other pets. And now that I am, I am looking at the possibility of a new home. I am not really bonded to him yet but he’s a very sweet ferret and I want to make sure that whoever takes him would be giving him a good home. He himself is free but he would be coming with his cage, bedding, toys, hammocks, food and leash/harness that I got for him. The fee for that would be 250. Which is negociable, but is a lot less than what I originally paid for.
I will not be giving him to just anyone. Requirements for his adoption would be: video call for home check, signing a contract saying that if you give him up you will be giving him back to me and calling or emailing right away if anything goes wrong and a meet and greet with any pets you may have.
I believe he will do well with kids and other animals but cats would have to be tested out since they can have extremely high prey drives.
I will be willing to go lower then 250 but only to the right home. If I don’t find anyone I will be trying to keep him permanently.
