Meadow Outdoor Advertising is seeking a full-time billboard installer in La Grande, Oregon, who can climb sign structures safely and install advertising materials on billboards. The purpose of a Billboard Installer is to install billboard vinyl in an outdoor environment safely and on time to meet a customer’s needs, keep structures clean and build templates for extensions. Safely install advertising materials on billboard bulletins. 2. Climb billboard structures that can be 50 feet or higher. 3. Maintain billboard structures and repair structures including but not limited to: tightening bolts, painting structures, repairing and replacing various parts of the billboard sign face and structure, assemble structures and faces when required. 4. Drive a company vehicle to and from billboard locations in all types of weather. 5. Build and install extensions on billboards, 6. Check sites and report any issues such as sign visibility or structure issues. 7. Lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor, sometimes under adverse weather conditions. 8. Use computer equipment and smartphones to read work instructions and input data after job is completed. 9. Responsible to keep company vehicles construction tools, equipment, and machinery in good repair. 10. Interact effectively with landowners and employees at all levels of the organization. 11. Attend safety meetings as required. 12. Take photographs of completed job as needed. 13. Ensure proper safety procedures are followed. 14. Other duties as assigned or requested. Skills 1. Good driving record Additional Qualifications • Past billboard experience a plus • Highly self-disciplined with ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal. • Familiarity with operating heavy equipment a plus • Familiarity with fall protection equipment and practices a plus. Additional Requirements: References at the time of interview Work Environment Most of this work is outside. The employee is required to frequently climb ladders on billboards and to work on platforms and walkways mounted on billboard structures at height. Employee will be exposed to various weather conditions. Physical Demands The demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 1. Regularly required to lift, pull, push, position ladders, ropes, pulleys, material, and equipment in excess of 85 pounds. 2. Climb ladders and/or stairs and work at heights of 50 feet or more. 3. This job is performed in an outside environment. May be seasonally exposed to heat, cold and humidity as well as marked changes in temperature. Travel This position requires more than 50% travel. Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight.
