Description
The Biden administration has begun deporting the nearly 15,000 Haitian illegal immigrants that have been camped out under a bridge on the southern border in Del Rio, Texas. The mass expulsion has triggered many of the Haitian migrants to travel back across the border to Mexico to avoid being flown back to Haiti.
Biden is using a Trump deportation policy called Title 42, under which the U.S. can immediately deport illegals due to Covid concerns.
Reporters on the ground in Del Rio say the reason many of the Haitians are choosing to travel back into Mexico, rather than be flown back to Haiti by the U.S. government is...
Because most of these Haitian migrants did not come here from Haiti.
Most had been living [according to their own accounts] comfortably in Brazil, Peru, and other South American nations.
But when the Biden administration announced on September 8 that it was stopping deportations of Haitians due to the recent earthquake, it was officially open season.
It's good that Biden has [indirectly] acknowledged this colossal mistake by reversing course. But the Haitian migrants are victims of Biden's ineptitude too. They were encouraged by the Biden policy to take every penny to their name and pay cartel smugglers [who control the Mexican side of the border] to take them to the U.S. Now that they are having to turn back, they are returning into the hands of the Cartels.
I fear what happens to the Haitians who spent all their money to get here. What will the Cartels take from them to get back through? Sex trafficking? Slavery? Death? This will be the un-reported cost of Biden's border crisis.
