Job Description Diesel Shop Laborer Nova Lines is a growing and successful flatbed trucking company just outside of Chicago that has a reputation of working in a professional manner while being honest and transparent to all who are a part of or work with the Nova Lines team. The Shop Laborer will assist with the maintenance of company trucks, flat bed trailers and other equipment. This will include such responsibilities as but not limited to: Repair tarps, truck cleaning, shop and yard cleaning and organizing, running for parts and other errands and other duties as needed. Have a customer service frame of mind especially when it pertains to our drivers and contractors. Possess communication skills, along with a can-do attitude and the desire to work until the job is done and be hands on in the shop when needed. Outgoing, respectful and professional attitude is a definitive must! RESPONSIBILITIES Have basic prior diesel truck or auto shop experience. Parts pick up - Clean driving record and valid DL is a must - CDL is a plus!! Must be organized and efficient and the desire to complete tasks quickly without constant supervision. Keep the shop clean and organized at all times. Parts inventory QUALIFICATIONS Solid communication skills and the ability to motivate Must be able to lift in excess of 70 lbs. The candidate with solid skills and the right attitude can advance.
