The First Decade. Ten years ago I started my Gypsy Jazz Jam session. An event to which I could invite my friends, students, and musicians from around the world to gather and play music inspired by Django Reinhardt. Ten years of acoustic performance, rain or shine, every week. Ten years of friendships and bands forged, chops honed, good times had…all through a love of this music. 

 And now, after over a year and a half of hiatus, the Jam is returning to it’s home at the re-vamped space that was once Fada, BistroSo. This Thursday, we will mark the occasion of ten years of the Jam and the restoration of culture in NYC. With the spirit of Django, who persevered to play guitar after he lost use of his two fingers, we will never stop jamming! 

 You are all invited to join us at BistroSo for this special occasion on Thursday. 530 Driggs Ave. We start at 8pm and end at 11. All levels, instruments welcome, all acoustic.
