This post is more to warn the neighborhood. A car was stolen last week on Bordentown Avenue right across from the firehouse. Cars are being stolen at a higher than usual rate in Sayreville and surrounding areas. Another home was being cased in Parlin. Our home and cars were being filmed last Sunday afternoon by two women driving a newer modern, all black, soft-top Camaro. One was walking around the perimeter of the property while the other keep lookout. When lookout saw my hubby, she hand signaled to the one filming and they left. Everything was caught on security cams, but they were smart not to step one toe on the property. The women were doing their homework for whoever is stealing. Theives are focusing on catalytic converters. They tend to come around between 2 and 6 am.
