Jobs

New York City NY

Description

The Repair the World’s Service Corps, now in its second year, mobilizes adults ages 18-29 to invest both in their communities and themselves through the lens of Jewish values. Service Corps Members will spend a total of 10 hours per week 1) Volunteering with local service partners and 2) Connecting Jewish approaches to justice with issue-area education surrounding the lasting economic and social effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 11 communities around the country, Service Corps cohorts will be supervised by Repair the World staff to integrate the themes of the program in a small group setting. Corps Members receive a $1,000 stipend at the completion of the program, with additional equity funding available. This program is open to Jewish and non-Jewish applicants and we encourage a wide range racial, religious, and gender diversity among our cohorts. Volunteers will be paired with a partner organization local to Manhattan, Brooklyn or Queens and engage in 10 weeks of service with that partner. In additional - weekly learnings held over zoom will be held discussing issues and concepts relevant to service and the NYC community. Please apply at this link: https://www.tfaforms.com/4841213
