Job Description Pet Stop® Installer/Technician/Dog Trainer Primary Objective: PET STOP of NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND, New England’s fastest growing pet containment company is seeking a reliable, versatile Installation and Service Technician for the Southern and Coastal New Hampshire areas. Installation and Service Technicians are responsible for providing high quality, friendly customer service while working directly with customers at their homes. Technicians will also be responsible for some basic dog training to show customers how the system works. THIS POSITION IS PRIMARILY A LABOR POSITION REQUIRING SOME HEAVY LIFTING AND USE OF MACHINERY. DOG TRAINING REPRESENTS ONLY ABOUT 10% OF THE JOB DUTIES. CANDIDATES SEEKING A TRADITIONAL DOG TRAINING POSITION SHOULD NOT APPLY. We are looking for an individual who is just as hard working in the sun, as they are in the rain and snow. A person who is independent, self-motivated, reliable, and task orientated. A person who thrives on challenges, problem solving, and task completion. Someone who is comfortable speaking with home-owners. You must be a people person, be professional, strong communication skills and most importantly... LOVE DOGS. Work hard and have fun while installing, servicing and repairing underground fencing systems. The IDEAL service technician will be able to adapt to other responsibilities including teaching our customers about the functions of our products and introducing new products to existing clients. The candidate needs to be able to work independently or autonomously. Position is hourly. Previous experience with underground fencing not necessary as we will train the right candidate. Job Duties: Deliver, install, and service equipment in accordance with company policy and procedures Educate customers on the benefits of the pet containment system Demonstrate the proper use of the equipment being installed Complete all paperwork promptly and accurately Perform safety checks and routine tests to ensure that equipment is working properly Communicate with office staff and sales representatives to coordinate daily installations Trouble shoot & perform diagnostics to solve problems Learn basic dog training and pass training knowledge to customers through demonstrations and clear communication Maintain organized and clean inventory of all parts, accessories and tools Requirements, Physical Skills & Training: Product training provided Ability to handle some machinery - similar care and strength for a snow blower or chain saw Valid Driver’s License with no moving violations or accidents Able to pass background and drug screening checks High School Diploma required Able to work inside or outside in all weather conditions Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather Sitting, Standing, Walking, Bending Strong Interpersonal Communication Skills Exemplify Quality Customer Service and a can-do attitude Due to the company’s dog related customer products, all Pet Stop employees must enjoy being around and have no issue with socialization of dogs Must be flexible to work Monday-Saturday Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
