Get help completing and submitting the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) - now a graduation requirement in Texas! This is a Bring your Own Device event. Please bring a laptop or Chromebook. Computers will not be available at the Pat May Center. Please also refer to the checklist of information that each family will need to bring. To complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you will need: • Your Social Security Number • Your Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen) • Your 2020 federal income tax returns, 2020 W-2s, and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.) • Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)• Records of untaxed income (if applicable) • An FSA ID to sign electronically. Information about the FSA ID and a link to apply can be found here: https://studentaid.gov/sites/default/files/creating-using-fsaid.pdf If you are a dependent student, then you will also need most of the above information for your parent(s). Parents and students should attend this event together - but each family needs only to register once. It is possible to opt-out of this requirement. See the campus counselor for more information.
