The historic mansion, Barn Gallery, and gardens will be open for a self-guided experience. The event is free and open to the public. No ticket is needed for entry. On View at the Gibson House: The East and West parlors welcome visitors into the world of the Gibson family, as it would have been during the 1880s. The dining room, the original 1850s farmhouse, shows what the Gibson family inhabited at the start of their pioneering journey. The West Parlor highlights the heavily ornamented Renaissance and Rococo Revival furniture as well as Victorian women’s wear that would have been worn by Mrs. Gibson as she entertained her guests. The East Parlor now has furniture of the Eastlake furniture style and items representative of the start of Arts and Crafts movement in America. On View at the Barn Gallery: The Art Farm Exhibition is a culmination of a season of artist-to-farm visits, featuring artwork cultivated on local farms and inspired by the open spaces, agriculture and bounty of Yolo County. Over 100 original works of art by local and regional artists including paintings, photographs, fabric art, and mixed media. Plant Sale: Behind the historic mansion, the Gibson Gardeners will be hosting a plant sale. All proceeds to support the operations of the Gibson Gardeners. Since 1978, the Gibson Gardeners have been cultivating garden space throughout the property. The Stroll Through History is a ticketed open homes tour of vintage homes combined with free walking, biking, and docent led tours throughout Woodland’s circa 1900’s downtown central street, (called Main Street) Nationally Registered Historic District and historic surrounding neighborhoods. YoloArts is a non-profit organization, founded in 1981 as a recommendation of the Yolo County Cultural Plan to further the arts and culture of the county.
