A Celtic reception, drams of Scotch whisky, fine wine, kilts, bagpipes, poetry, a fabulous dinner and a slideshow of beautiful Scotland.
The excitement begins with a reception in the beautiful surroundings of the McConnell Foundation Lema Ranch where the Great Highland pipes will be calling you to enter. Inside, you may choose to sample a wee dram of Scotch whisky or a fine glass of wine. Our Special Guest and Master of Ceremonies, Whisky author and raconteur, Sir Paul Bissett, will be on hand to answer your questions about Scotland's whisky flavors and processing. The sounds of the Great Highland bagpipes and the hum of the mystical Uilleann pipes, and the small pipes, often referred to as "parlor pipes," and several string instruments will resonate throughout the evening. Your savory meal of Haggis, Neaps & Tatties will have been carefully prepared, its flavors savory and fit for a king or queen. When the moment is “just right,” you will be whisked away to a land far, far away, as Sir Paul shares with you his collection of Scotland’s beautiful castles and majestic landscapes, adding the perfect finishing touch to a spectacular evening of everything Celtic. Your attendance is requested. Kilts and evening attire encouraged, but not required. Please, no jeans or tank tops.
