This year's event guest speaker is Rev. Frank Williams, President of the National African American Fellowship of the SBC.
Rev. Williams serves as the Senior Pastor of the Wake-Eden Community Baptist Church and the Bronx Baptist Church in New York.
Frank Williams is a husband, father and pastor. He was born on the island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis, W.I. He migrated to the Bronx, NY in the early 1980’s. He became a member of the Bronx Baptist Church in 1993. He and his wife, Tisha, met at church, and at God’s appointed time, fell in love and married in 2006. They have three wonderful children - Timothy, Tiffany, and Trinity.
Rev. Williams has has served on the SBC Committee on Nominations, Committee on Committees, and the African-American Advisory Council to the CEO of the SBC Executive Committee. He has also served on the Executive Board of the National African American Fellowship since 2012. During that time, he served as Parliamentarian for two years, Treasurer for four years, three years as Vice-President and now as President.
Also, Frank has served three terms on the Executive Board of the Baptist Convention of New York (BCNY), and was the 2007 BCNY Annual Meeting Conference Preacher. He served as the State Director of the Black Church Leadership Network of New York from 2010 to 2018 – a fellowship of 45 African American churches that focused on missions, leadership development, and prison outreach.
Rev. Williams has preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ for over 20 years, including in Israel, South Africa, and the Caribbean. His life verse is Philippians 1:21, “For me to live is Christ, to die is gain.”
