Enjoy guided relaxation and restorative practices throughout the grounds and gardens at the Norman Bird Sanctuary.
Shorter days of sunlight remind trees to prepare for winter. To fortify their trunks and roots for the colder season ahead, trees hoard nutrients deep within themselves, starving leaves of their supply of chlorophyll, which ultimately reveals their true leaf color.
During this nature experience, we’ll explore mindful practices that draw on the inspiration from some of the oldest trees that exist at the Norman Bird Sanctuary. This program includes a walk among the trees, a seated meditation that appreciates the different colors of leaves, along with light stretches and breathing exercises.
