Description

Learn from furniture and design experts at this informal pop-up sale and event Wondering how upcycled furniture can work in your home? Eager to see before-and-after painted treasures you can take home with you? Join us on Saturday, October 9th from 11am-2pm for an outdoor shopping pop-up and "how-to" upcycling event with design experts Jody Seivert and Jill Simoes. In a fun and informal talk they'll share secrets on how to find pieces that will paint up well, how to choose the right paint colors and finishes, and how to add character and drama with unexpected accents. Both painted and unpainted pieces will be available for purchase, as well as paint and wallpaper from Farrow & Ball to use on your own projects. Come out and kick-start your creativity for the fall decorating season! You’ll also get to meet our friends at JNJ Woodworking, a Marion, MA-based custom furniture company specializing in building, repairing and repurposing furniture. Established by John and Judy Nadeau in 2011, this company has quickly become the local go-to for the surrounding communities for furniture building and repairing needs. The Drawing Room is a carefully curated product and design shop located at 36 N. Water Street, New Bedford, MA. We feature original, handcrafted work by New England artisans. Our focus is on quality craftsmanship whether you are looking for artful gifts or a statement piece to hang on your wall. Shop owner and architect, Anthi Frangiadis, uses her keen eye to choose each part of the collections, so you can bring artistic elements into your world.
