The Chamber Series brings together members of the CMU Faculty and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra for outstanding performances. The Carnegie Mellon University Chamber Series brings together members of the CMU Faculty and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra for outstanding music making in an intimate space. The 2021-2022 Chamber Series performances will be held with audiences limited to CMU students, faculty and staff until further notice. The Chamber Series will also be livestreamed on the CMU School of Music YouTube Channel for those not permitted to attend. There is no cost to watch or attend these performances. The Carnegie Mellon Chamber Series is generously sponsored by Mrs. Cynthia Friedman. REPERTOIRE: George Walker Violin Sonata No.1 Monique Mead - violin Sung-Im Kim - piano Steven Franklin Sonata for Tuba and Piano (world premiere) Craig Knox, tuba Sung-Im Kim, piano Enrique Granados Piano Trio No.1 in C Major, Op. 50 Cecee Pantikian, violin Mikhail Istomin, cello Rodrigo Ojeda, piano Attendance at School of Music ensemble performances (Philharmonic, Wind Ensemble, etc.) is temporarily limited to CMU students, faculty and staff. You must have a CMU email address to order tickets.All concert attendees must be vaccinated and masked while indoors, in accordance with the current CMU pandemic posture.Orders from a non-CMU email address will be canceled.Tickets are required, and are free for CMU Students, Faculty and Staff.
