Rehoming senior cat whose owner died

This is a tough situation and Craigslist probably isn't the best place to find this kitty a home. Sure most people don't want senior pets but there are perks too. They are already trained they sleep a lot and do their own thing. My aunt recently died very young due to covid complications. She had one thing in this world she truly loved and loved her was her cat. Their bond was very special. Right now he is currently staying with her sister but she has too many animals already. A little about the cat. He is 9. He is a coon cat. Big kitty about 16 lbs. Beautiful. He has a special feeding schedule. He was very spoiled. Loves to be brushed. He has to be the only pet in the home. He is having a hard time adjusting to his owner never coming back home. He's confused. He started out hissing and slowly is allowing pets and brushing. He will need ample time to adjust but I believe he will love again. I'm looking for someone who understands his owner just left and never came back he doesn't understand. Someone who is patient. Someone who understands he may not love you for a few months. If it doesn't work out we ask that you bring him back to our family. Not to surrender him. He is family to us. I am hoping someone just wants a cat to relax with and love. He is very special and has his own little personality. Please contact me if you think you will be a good fit.
