I-93 Exit Work Ahead: Detours In Somerville

SOMERVILLE, MA — MassDOT will conduct work to rehabilitate the lower level of the bridge on the off-ramp from I-93 North to Route 38 North Mystic Avenue (Exit 21) in Somerville. The ramp will be closed from 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24 to 5 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 27. Ramp traffic will be detoured as follows: Continue on I-93 northbound to exit 23. At the rotary, take the fourth exit to I-93 southbound. Take exit 21 off-ramp to Route 38 (Mystic Avenue). Take a left onto Route 38 (Mystic Avenue) southbound. Take a left to Route 38 (Mystic Avenue) northbound just before Lombardi Street. Take a right on Middlesex Avenue and continue to Route 28 Fellsway northbound. Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution. All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change.
