PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A Park Slope school has again been named one of the best private schools in the New York City area, along with five others in the borough. Berkeley Carroll School on Lincoln Place landed number 37 on Niche.com's ranking of the area's best private schools for 2022. It was one of six Brooklyn schools that earned a spot in the top 100. "Our 2022 rankings come at a time when so many parents are curious about the different options for their children's education, including some they may never have considered before," Niche CEO Luke Skurman said. "No matter where they are in their search process, we strive to be a reliable guide and resource. It is truly an honor to know our users trust us to play a key role in such a big life decision." The title is not new for many of the schools on the list, including Berkeley. Last year, Berkeley ranked 30th on Niche's overall list for New York state. The Best Private High Schools ranking is "based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents," including SAT and ACT scores, the quality of colleges that students consider, student-teacher ratio, private school ratings and more. The data is sourced from the U.S. Department of Education, Niche users, and the schools directly. The top school in the New York City area for this year's ranking was Trinity School in Manhattan. In Brooklyn, Saint Ann's in Brooklyn Heights got the top ranking, coming in at number 19 for the New York City area.
