BRADENTON, FL — In response to a CDL driver shortage across the solid waste industry, the city of Bradenton adopted a temporary solid waste schedule in July where yard waste and recycling are picked up in alternating weeks. To supplement its yard-waste collection while this temporary schedule is in place, the city has established four drop-off sites. "These additional measures will not replace bi-weekly yard waste service to residents but are intended to supplement those collections, especially during the off weeks when recycling is collected instead of yard waste," the city said in a news release.
