This event is an annual fundraiser with all proceeds going directly to the North Baldwin Animal Shelter. We are a group of animal lovers who come together once a year to raise funds by participating in a bicycle ride where we dress as witches and warlocks and pay a fee to ride thru the streets of downtown Bay Minette throwing treats to onlookers along a 3 mile route. This year we have opened the ride to include golf carts and side by side vehicles, so our witches and warlocks who are unable to pedal for various reasons, can still participate. We also have arts and crafts vendors set up at Blackburn park, food vendors, including our local VFW Post 3568 selling ribs and Boston butts fresh cooked from their giant smoker, music provided by Art-T Karaoke, Life South will be on hand accepting blood donations, along with a few more attractions. This is an all day event with the Witches parade to begin at 1:00 pm. Please make plans to join us for a fun filled day to support North Baldwin Animal Shelter. Thank you, your lead witch, Carolyn. RULES FOR THE BAY MINETTE WITCHES RIDE 1) The ride is open to both witches and warlocks. 2) You must be 18 or older to participate. 3) You must sign a release of liability form to participate, this is a ride at your own risk event. 4)No children or pets are allowed to participate either as a rider or passenger, no wagons or strollers allowed. Children are welcome and encouraged as spectators. 5) Wear your best costume, dress to impress but also think SAFETY! You don't want to get tangled up in a chain during the ride! Attach ties to your hat to keep it from flying off during the ride. 6) Throws are allowed and encouraged. We want the spectators to enjoy catching treats! Participants are responsible for your own throws. 7) Motorized vehicles must stay at a slow pace and remain with your group at all times during the ride. Please DO NOT mix with the bicycle riders!!! NO passing other riders! We must think SAFETY FIRST at ALL TIMES!!! Our local Shriners will also be riding and they will be grouped together, DO NOT mix with this group!!! This is the 1st year we have included motorized vehicles, we don't want it to be the last. 8) Plan to enjoy your day, we always have a lot of fun while benefiting a great organization!!!!
