PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Patch recently partnered with the SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County. Each week, we will bring you the cutest pets looking for homes. Here are this week's adorable adoptables. Click on their names for more information. Tilly Personality: I'm very loyal and love affection with lots of pets. I'm content to just be by your side, and my perfect day would include being near you and knowing that I'm loved. Hobbies: Waiting patiently for food, seeking out shady spots in garden. Favorite Napping Spot: Underneath a bush, in a shady garden spot, or in my custom made outdoor cat house How I Came To The SPCA: I showed up in my foster family's yard 4 months ago in bad shape: bedraggled, open scratches, dry rough fur, and a forlorn look. Since then, I haven't left their yard. My foster family has inside cats, and the inside cats aren't willing to let another cat in their territory. All I really want to do is come inside and snuggle up to you and receive endless pets. Dream Family: A family that understands I have a past and is willing to shower me with affection. Josey Personality: I'm delightful, quirky, independent, and confident. Food is a great motivator for me, possibly stemming from a lack of it while living on the streets. My confidence level is high; I love to greet strangers. When so inclined, I wrap myself around my human's legs and hold on. I haven't displayed a cuddly side as of yet, but that might change with time. Favorite Toy: Absolutely adore my scratching post — I wrap myself around it; it's probably my favorite place. Favorite Napping Spot: Another favorite place is in the hammock attached to my scratching post. How I Came To The SPCA: I was found wandering the streets, sick and underweight. A good-hearted woman alerted PGSPCA of my suffering and it's a good thing she did! I was severely anemic, very dehydrated, and had alarmingly low blood pressure. After an emergency trip to the vet in the middle of the night, PGSPCA raised enough money for a blood transfusion and I recovered well. Now I'm ready for a home of my own. Dream Family: I would be perfectly happy being an only cat. With careful supervision, I will adjust to other cats and dogs. My perfect family would appreciate my independence. The local SPCA is a volunteer-run organization that does not operate a physical shelter. Volunteers house the animals in their own homes until they are adopted. Every pet up for adoption is listed here. To start the adoption process, fill out this form. Anyone with questions can call 301-262-5625 or email [email protected].
