MORRISTOWN, NJ – From Friday, Sep. 17 until Friday, Sep. 24 at 5 p.m., Morristown businesses and nonprofits impacted by Hurricane Henri and/or Ida will be able to apply for grants of $1000 to $5000.
The pilot Henri/Ida Business Assistance Grant Program is available to any business or nonprofit in New Jersey with up to 50 full-time or equivalent employees, an August rent or mortgage payment of at least $1000, and damage or revenue loss greater than $1000 as a result of Henri or Ida. More eligibility requirements and limitations can be found here.
The program will provide grants equal to eligible applicants' unmet needs based on estimated damages and revenue loss up to $5000. Capital expenses like remediation or construction are not eligible.
Online applications are available at programs.njeda.com until 5 p.m. Friday, Sep. 24. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Businesses with denied applications will have the right to appeal.
