Jersey City's First 'Five Below' Store Opens Friday

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Five Below has a hard opening date for its first Jersey City location. A bit later than the anticipated "summer" opening, the store is set to open on Friday at 10 a.m. Located at 125 18th Street in Newport, the storefront used to be home to a Pier 1 Imports. The strip mall where the store is located also features a Best Buy, Popeye's and Target. Five Below is a rapidly growing store marketed toward tweens and teens, offering everything from clothes and candy to knick-knacks and speakers for a price between $1 and $5. Five Below has 47 locations in New Jersey, according to its website.
